A well-fitting western hat starts with the foundation: the shape of your head. And that is different for everyone. That’s why I work with a conformateur—a traditional measuring tool that precisely captures the contours of your head. No guesswork, just pure precision.

With this measurement, I can adjust the hat so it not only feels comfortable but also stays perfectly balanced while riding. In western riding, that’s essential—your hat needs to stay in place, no matter what your horse is doing.

Next, I use the formillon. This tool transfers the exact measurement from the conformateur to the hat itself, allowing me to perfectly adapt the inner shape to your head. This is craftsmanship you won’t find in mass production—this is true artisanal work.

But it doesn’t stop there.

I then shape the hat using steam. The brim and crown are formed by hand to match your desired style—whether it’s a classic ranch look, a sharp show style, or something in between. Every detail is done by hand, with a focus on both functionality and aesthetics.
