Höveler Western Alfalfa
Alfalfa is the "queen of fodder" and supplies essential amino acids, minerals and vitamins in their natural form. The special, natural composition of the essential amino acids from the Alfalfa support muscle building and growth in young horses.

Due to the high structure, the chewing behavior and thus the saliva production and the digestion are promoted. Research at the Texas A & M University in 2007 shows that feeding alfalfa to horses can be preventative and effective in the treatment of stomach ulcers. Alfafa has a buffering effect on the stomach acid, making it effective against stomach ulcers.

Alfalfa is naturally poor in sugars. Alfalfa contains on average 3.3% sugar, while grass hay contains on average 10% sugar. That is why alfalfa is also very suitable for horses that are sensitive to sugar, such as insulin resistance, EMS and laminitis.

Höveler Western Alfalfa consists of the sun-dried whole plant. Free from additives, grains and molasses.
