The Adjustable Shim Pockets Saddle Pad, also known as Select A Fit, is designed for horses that need temporary or corrective support to achieve the perfect saddle fit. With six custom-fit pockets, you can adjust build-ups or reliefs as needed, making it ideal for multiple horses or saddles.

The great thing about this saddle pad is that you can ride it as-is, with all shims in place, and it functions like a traditional saddle pad. The shims are made of Wool Felt, offering moldable, pliable (“softer”) support. Need a correction? Simply add or remove shims as necessary. For a round-backed horse with little to no withers, remove all shims and replace them when needed.

Tips for Using the Select A Fit

• Front build-up: Helps lift the front of the saddle if it slopes downward at the wither. (Remove the middle and rear shims.)

• Middle build-up: Fills in a dropped topline, for example on older horses, to balance the saddle. (Remove the front and rear shims.)

• Rear build-up: Balances the back of the saddle if it tips downward. (Remove the front and middle shims.)
