Double broken loose ring snaffle.
This bit features a 12,5 cm (5") sweet iron dogbone mouth with copper inlay and 7,62 cm (3") O-rings.
Classic black steel finish.
Sweet iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which in turn encourages better acceptance of the bit. The rusting process (oxidation) changes the colour of the bit to a brownish-grey.
A beginning of this oxidation process may already be visible when purchasing a new bit.
