Evelien founded the mobile store and saddle fitting service EURO-HORSE in 1998. What started with a large VW bus, traveling to clients and events across the country, has grown into a well-known name in the Western riding community.
In 2014, Dominique joined the company. He took over part of the saddle fitting appointments and represented EURO-HORSE at various shows with a pop-up store. Together, they helped the company grow further and professionalize.
Today, EURO-HORSE Western Riding Supplies offers a comprehensive range of services:
- Two vehicles with Western saddle fitters are on the road daily,
- Clients are welcome in ourMoordrecht store every Wednesday and Sunday,
- Ourwebshop is available 24/7,
- And we are present at many Western shows across Europe.
Our team:
Dominique van Buuren; owner, saddle fitting specialist, hat specialist and tack repair specialist. After obtaining the Horse Husbandry & Management diploma in 2006, Dominique worked for a stallion owner and a number of dressage and western stables. Thanks to the diversity of work with horses and riding, Dominique has extensive knowledge of equine nutrition, behavior and anatomy. At the beginning of 2015, Dominique visited the United States for several months to learn how to make and repair saddles. This has resulted in a specialized department of EURO-HORSE where we professionally repair western saddles, tack and pads, among other things. You can read more about it under ‘saddle repair’ on this site. Dominique is the owner of the quarter mare “X Factor Gotta Spark”, one of our test panel horses.
Sanghita van Buuren-Biharie; contact for customers by email, online store manager and store employee. After obtaining the Horse Husbandry & Management diploma in 2002, Sanghita gained experience as a jumping and dressage groom and worked at a number of western equestrian centers. She also completed training as a bit- and bridlefitter in 2022. Thanks to the diversity of work with horses and riding, Sanghita has extensive knowledge of equine nutrition, behavior and anatomy. Sanghita is the owner of the quarter mare “Footworks X Factor”.
Céline Spekkers; saddle fitting specialist, store and show assistant. After earning her degree in Care Animal Husbandry in 2017, in addition to working at a care farm, Céline walked at several riding stables and barns, learning so much. Over the years she has continued to develop and expand her knowledge in trimming, teaching speed event classes, training young horses, horses with trauma and treating with the equissage pulse theraphy. Barrel racing was added in early 2018. Since 2021, she has been going to the European Championships at Equita Lyon to put the Netherlands on the barrel racing map. Céline is the owner of the paint gelding “Jetalito Pebble Sonny”.
Because we work with horses on a daily basis, we know what works well. We also like to test innovative products in order to be able to expand our range. We believe it is important to keep our knowledge up to standard and to increase it. This is why we regularly complete continued training by attending clinics and courses with trainers, veterinarians, osteopaths, and other professionals.
